Nishtha Kumar is the founder of NK Law and an Advocate-on-Record at the Supreme Court of India, with Post-Qualification Experience of over 14 years, focusing on Dispute Resolution, and Advisory work. Nishtha holds a degree in B.A. Political Science (Hons.) from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi (Batch of 2004-2007), as well as, an LLB degree, from Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi (Batch of 2007-2010).

 

Since 2010, Nishtha has practiced in several fora, including the Supreme Court and various High Courts, across varied disciplines. Nishtha has also had the esteemed privilege of working under the tutelage of a Ms. Indu Malhotra, (then Senior Advocate) Retired Judge of the Supreme Court of India, as well as in J. Sagar Associates, a Tier 1 law firm. Nishtha has also worked with Mr. Atul Y. Chitale, Senior Advocate (Chitale & Chitale Partners), as well as SKV Law Offices.

Key areas of work handled by Nishtha have included Corporate-Commercial litigation and advisory work, including in the Regulatory sector  (Electricity and Aviation), and also cases pertaining to Environmental Laws, Land Acquisition, Education, Consumer Disputes, Medical Negligence, Criminal litigation, Service Laws and Matrimonial disputes. Her experience is inclusive of not only advising clients on strategy and way forward, but also in terms of drafting/filing pleadings, representing and arguing before Courts.
